The $80,000 lottery ticket

How many of you are confident and able to work at a job you would genuinely enjoy and are being held back by your lack of a piece of paper that says that you're confident and able.
College degrees are the only way anyone can get a decent career these days and even taking the time and putting forth the immense expense it takes to acquire one in no way guarantees you'll ever put it to use.
If you're already rich or come from a rich family that can front the bill, this is no big deal.  To normal folks like you and me though, we pay for it for a loooong time to follow, and that's whether we actually put it to use or not (The days, not seems to be the more common of the two).

When was the last time you paid $80,000+ for something that you didn't know if you would ever even be able to  use?

  2. I think college degrees are held way too high! anyone could just buy one and be done with it, so it's kind of annoying.

  11. College is the sieve of a nation; it recognizes the diligent, champions the intelligent, and eviscerates the stragglers.
